Musician and Band Interviews:
In as much as our door is open to all musicians, we give preference to those musicians and bands who have been play-listed on Zone Radio. Any musician/band that has not been play-listed is encouraged to visit our “Music Submissions” page to ascertain how this can be achieved. Please DO NOT email music submissions directly to Janet Scanlon.
Interviews are conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 15:30 and 16:00 am. No interviews are conducted on weekends and public holidays and only in exceptional circumstances will consideration be given to any other day of the week.
As a rule there is a lead-time of around 3 to 4 weeks.
Artists who wish to perform live acoustic sets are welcome to do so as long as Zone Radio is given advance warning.
Process to be followed – The first step is to email email@example.com. In processing the request the following will be established:
- That the musician/band has been play-listed.
- That we have sufficient music for the interview.
- Available dates.
Having established the above, an email advising available dates, the directions to the studio and whether or not additional music is required will be sent to the musician/band/person who requested the interview. (Please note that if additional music is required, it is important to arrive at least 30 minutes ahead of the interview time in order to provide sufficient time for the songs to be loaded into the play-out system)
Public Service Interviews:
Zone Radio has always opened its doors to organisations working toward creating a better society for all. Requests for interviews should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Included in the request should be a motivation, a short outline of the objectives of the organisation and social media and website details. Once Zone Radio has agreed to conduct the interview a confirmation email will be sent to the organisation.
